Tall Black Is Back: The Director Chair Returns for Film Festival, Production & Halloween Season
Back from the dead. Back on set. Back in the spotlight.
After selling out, the iconic Tall Black Director Chair is finally back at FilmCraft… just in time for the busiest, most creative, and spookiest season of the year.
Film festival season is here. Productions are getting back into full swing. Events are filling the calendar. And Halloween is creeping around the corner.
So naturally, there's only one thing to say:
Tall Black Is Back.
Our Tall Black Director Chair has become a FilmCraft favorite for a reason. Its classic Hollywood look, extra-tall profile, and unmistakable director-chair silhouette make it a natural fit for film productions, festivals, events, photo shoots, activations, parties, and sets that need a chair with a little more presence.
And yes, it looks particularly good under dramatic lighting… especially when things start getting a little spooky.
Back from the Dead and Back on Set for Production Season
As productions rise from the grave and get back into full swing, the director's chair is right where it belongs: on set.
Whether you're outfitting a film production, commercial shoot, photography studio, behind-the-scenes area, production office, or event, a tall director chair brings an unmistakable production aesthetic to the space.
It's functional, recognizable, and instantly says: we're rolling.
Need a chair for the director? Check.
Need seating for a production or event? Check.
Need something that looks like it belongs on a Hollywood set? Very much check.
Film Festival Season? Take Your Seat.
Film festival season brings screenings, panels, premieres, parties, press events, activations, and plenty of opportunities to create memorable spaces.
The Tall Black Director Chair fits right in.
Use it for festival lounges, filmmaker events, photo opportunities, green rooms, production areas, branded installations, or anywhere you want to bring a little cinematic character to your event.
Because if you're going to celebrate film, you might as well have the right chair.
Halloween Has Entered the Frame
Then there's Halloween.
The Tall Black Director Chair has become a top-selling Halloween favorite, and honestly, we understand why.
It's tall. It's black. It looks dramatic. It photographs beautifully. And it can transform a Halloween setup from ordinary to downright cinematic.
Use it for Halloween parties, haunted houses, photo booths, spooky installations, movie-themed parties, event decor, or that one dramatically lit corner of your home that absolutely did not need to become a production set.
But did anyway.
From haunted Hollywood vibes to eerie photo ops, the Tall Black Director Chair is ready for its close-up. Just add dramatic lighting, a little fog, and maybe something that goes bump in the night.
More Canvas Colors Have Entered the Scene
Black isn't the only color making an appearance at FilmCraft.
We're bringing even more color to the set with orange, red, and green canvas now available at www.filmcraftla.com.
Whether you're building a Halloween display, coordinating production seating, creating a festival lounge, or putting together a bold branded activation, these new canvas colors give you even more ways to bring your vision to life.
Think Halloween orange, dramatic red, and classic green. Mix, match, and make your setup stand out from the shadows.
Your production. Your palette. Your scene.
A Chair With Main Character Energy
Some chairs blend into the background.
This isn't one of them.
The Tall Black Director Chair was made to be seen. Its elevated profile gives it a strong visual presence while its classic director-chair styling brings the unmistakable language of film and production to any environment.
It's part seating. Part production essential. Part prop.
And, depending on the lighting, possibly the star of the show.
The Comeback You've Been Waiting For
The Tall Black Director Chair has been out of stock, but it's officially back from the dead.
And considering it's one of our number-one selling chairs, we don't recommend waiting until the final scene to make your move.
